    the michigan law

I read this about the michigan law:

bachelors degree in police administration or criminal justice from an accredited college or university or for a period of not less than 3 years has been:

Does that mean I have that to become a pi or to open my own office, why do I have to be 25 years old?

    This just bummed me out.

Look here for more info Michael

    Michael,
That is true, I have been researching it also since I live in Mi. I will give you a link I found last night, it has alot of info. It's for the Small bussiness association for Michigan. You will be able to dig deeper into MI law & requirements.
What I find strange is all of these regulations for a PI in our state however if you want to be a bounty hunter they don't regulate that in Mi. you can just do it, maybe it's just me but my opinion is that they have that backwards.
Oh well, here's the link, good luck to you...

    Michael,
Yes, you do have to be 25 years old, and either have a Bachelors degree or 3 years of provable experience working in the field, that's where IPIU comes in, from your post am I correct in assuming that the age limit is what's giving you problems? If so, I don't see any way around that one, maybe one of the moderators will be able to give you some direction on that, sorry I couldn't be of more help to you.

    Re: the michigan law

What branch of the legislature in Michigan dictates the age of one who can become licensed as a PI?
