I believe all the links are now fixed.
Check for a new state topics in this forum. I have authored some new ones to save time.
Thank you Darin for this valuable link. . .

I am happy to be a member, there is so much great information here!
Darin... You are a sweetheart in disguise...lol...everybody keeping you busy enough? Thank you for all your help. I, myself, have read somewhere here that you must be a US citizen to do bounty and process server... can't find where I read it now. Can you tell me if that is correct... thanks again
Petra, this is true in some states, and not true in some states. You need to go to the Licensing Laws Forum, then do a search for US citizen in the Licensing Laws Only: Bounty Hunters forum, and the Licensing Laws Only: Process Servers forum.Originally Posted by Petra Post
Use the Search this forum option (on the right), not the search (in the toolbar accross the top) option. Then when you get the results. Read each one very closely. You will find your answer.
In some states you just have to be in the US with a green card (being in the US legally). I hope this helps. Someone else will be able to give you better information then I can on this subject. Good luck in all you do.
Have a wonderful week. Take care.
Thank you, B Ann,
That is where I read this before. In the ones for Georgia. Maybe I have misunderstood or misread something. I will look over it more closely the next time. Thanks for helping out.

Okay, I have read the threads. What I need is how do you really become a process server here in Oklahoma? I know you have to go to the court, but how do you present yourself? Is there training for this type of job? I still am alittle green on this, and would really like to get started here.
Thanks
Awesome info, thank you.

Here is a link I would like to post for those wanting to know if they need to be licensed to be a Process Server:
Click here for laws pertaining to your state:

Hope this helps "DJ"
Let me see if I get this right. Do you have to have license to serve process in Indiana? If I read the rule right, anyone can serve process even if they are not authorized by the court, but as witness and/or deposition. Is this so? I have tried to research this. I hope I put this in the right thread...Thanks for the to rules listing, very informative.
This is extremly helpfull. Thank youi
This is a great list of links. It will certainly be a lot of work to keep it up to date, since states change language, and locations, from time to time.
The Washington state information is accurate as of today, however, the linked information relates to process served after serving an initial summons and complaint. Generally, the summons and complaint requires personal service and that can be accomplished in different ways. Those interested should look for and study the rules before, and after, the linked rule for more detailed information.
