Thank you, very helpful. i will print this out its a lot to learn from it.
thanks again,
If one wants to be a successful private investigator or in any business, it boils down to: 1. how much advertisement you put out. 2. Location.
You might also consider such items as:
- Do you know who your target audience is?
- Do you know how to identify your audience?
- Do you know how to reach that audience?
On these forums is a section for Learning and Enhancing Marketing Practices.
- What limitations are you facing in serving that audience (licensing, lack of insurance)?
- Do you know how to work through those limitations (loopholes vs. legal navigation)?
I don't like the term "loophole" because it has a negative connotation of dishonesty. However, if you know what laws and regulations are, and what they are not, there's no such thing as a loophole. Laws and regulations simply state what can and cannot be done in particular circumstances. Therefore, if the law says you need to be licensed as a private investigator to advertise yourself as such, and conduct certain aspects of investigations... It still states you cannot perform as a "Private Investigator" without a "License".
Therein lays the title and duties of a Case Examiner. More information available in higher level forums for full members of the IPIU. I would go further, but not in a public access forum. Sorry.
