Lightbulb IPIU is a LAUNCHING PAD...

    ...and we are the ROCKETS!

These forums are a magnificent way to pool our resources. Everyone, from beginner to retiree, is free to give and receive. In my opinion, that is the way to make a great Country, Business, and Family!

As we prepare ourselves for an international defense action to protect the world from the weapons of Iraq, and the aggressions of terrorists, I am particularly glad to be a member of a family of law enforcers that both respects the rights of individual privacy AND the responsibilities of EXPOSING criminal actions.

Thanks so much to the moderators that make the rules easy to follow, and keep the forums safe for real information to flow!

    Hi Anne,

That's a great analogy. The IPIU family is to us, as the launch pad is to the rocket. One does little without the other. But by having the one, the other can do great things!

A terrific thought to keep in mind.

    Thanks,

    Cool

You are oh so right Thomas. This is a great source of information found here at IPIU...

And especially since I am in the Pre-Beginner Phase, I have found the information quite valuable as well as the Staff treating everyone with the respect that many strive for...

    Way to go IPIU...

    Hi Frank,

I was just in the Introduction's Lounge and sent you a greeting.

I have to admit this is a great place and the Moderators and other members are all so helpful. I remarked to someone today that this doesn't seem like a "Union" at all. And it really isn't.... it's a family. The good thing is as a family, we all grow in knowledge and experience together.

All the best and catch you around the forums,

    Talking True!!

I know this is a bit late, but just for the heck of it, I applied to the Columbus Ohio Police Force. This was mainly because they accepted people over 36 (this is the usual cut-off). But I was about to give up when they ACCEPTED MY APPLICATION!!!!
I have been around a long time, when the rules were different but I OWE IPIU FOR ALL THE TIPS AND DATA I HAVE GOTTEN.
BY THE WAY....MY 1YR ANNIVERSARY WAS IN SEPT!

    That is great news, Anne.

My thought is that while youth brings energy and activity which is essential and certainly necessary, maturity brings windom, understanding, and an inner strength that can't be done without to be successful. All the very best and keep us posted. Congrats on your anniversary!
