!!! Urgent call for assistance in Florence New Jersey !!!

A colleage of mine knows the family of this missing girl and has reached out to me for assistance in finding this girl. I ask any IPIU member to keep their eyes open in the area of Florence New Jersey.

Below you'll find a flier with photos of the missing girl. On the internet you're likely to find reports the girl may have been suicidal, but our early interviews of friends of the family say much to the contrary.

We're trying to generate new leads. If any member has any resources they're willing to use to assist us, they can e-mail them to me directly at john.sanderson@pi-agency.us. Members offering on-going assistance in this matter may apply for access to the Task Force Investigations, On-going Investigations Forum, in the Task Force Investigations Executive Agency forum, found on the main forum page. Once inside the executive agency foum, click on the corrisponding thread for access to the On-going Investigations Forum.

If you have any information about the exact whereabouts of this girl, contact the police directly at the phone number listed in the poster below.

Please hear the urgent and desperate plea of this young woman's family and help us find her.

    John,

By now you know that their was a sad ending to this. Sarah's body was found in a pond, in Burlington Twp, NJ. Today my mother spoke with her father (Roy) and he finds comfort in the fact that my father will be looking after his daughter in heaven.

This has been a sad outcome. Prayers should be offered for the parents too, as they face enormous grief.

I was very sorry to hear of the tragic end of this case. There are some things that just don't add up though.

The police say there wasn't any evidence of foul play. It appears as though they're beginning to look at this case as a suicide which I disagree to. Think about this for a second; It is nearly impossible to drown yourself. Most people's instinct kicks in with amazing results when a person comes close to drowning. Most of us have experienced this when we were children swimming in a lake and going as deep as possible to see who could hold their breath the longest.

If she were in deed suicidal, much easier methods would have come to mind with the least likelihood of discomfort. Most, if not all suicidal persons who want to end their lives, want to do so but don't want to feel the pain.

The news of her death is something I learned of with a very heavy heart, but I am awaiting the results of the toxicology report before making any personal convictions. I suspect they'll find she was drugged and 'placed' into the lake.

John, this strikes a blow to my heart as well. It's a shame this happened, but the process needs to happen before we can take over and investigate, just so you know. I hear your grief, but we need to remember, (if I can do so lovingly) to report the facts--leave the opinions to the specialists. (if I'm out of line, I apologize)

I am so sorry to hear this news. It breaks one's heart & soul. I do hope that the case will be fully investigated leaving no stone unturned. These are truly the cases that make our type of work worthwhile, as we tend to be able to shed new light, so to speak, on things that others may have either willingly or unwillingly overlooked.

Best of luck to all involved. Our prayers are certainly with the entire family who are also victims but yet survivors. It is NOT easy loosing a member of a family, let alone a child. I would love to know the outcome if possible & if there is going to be any further investigations into the matter.

    Johnny,

Thank-you for your reply. I don't intend to take over any part of the investigation unless asked. The purpose of my involvement was to assist a colleague in locating the missing girl. I understand what you mean about the process, but PI's and Police often work the same case simultaneously. The sharing of facts however leaves some PI's not wanting to get involved sometimes.

My mentioning about persons drowning themselves as a form of suicide is based on research into statistics, as completed by specialists. I don't want to go into more detail here, as the family might see this public thread and I don't want to inflict any unnecessary pain due to details. I'd be happy to continue this chat in a level 4 chat, either yours or mine.

(if I'm out of line, I apologize)
Not at all! Input from other members is what keeps me on my toes. More often than not, your input causes me to re-think my opinions. I always welcome your involvement in all I do.

My closing professional opinion remains the same though. The actions just aren't consistent with suicide, but that's my opinion never having officially investigated a death.
