The International Private Investigators Union (IPIU) has an internal welfare program which offers free counseling and resources to private investigators and their families. The payroll support to maintain this program is funded by the IPIU membership dues which are paid by our fraternal union members.

In addition, we also offer free counseling and benefit resources (food, clothing, shelter, etc) to victims of natural disasters.

Although we first look after our union members and their families, we will also strive to help non-members and their families on a case-by-case basis.

    All my best,

    That's great!

What resources are available besides counseling?

I ask because, I am moving back to Maryland soon, and could use some help if possible.

"Counseling" is a valuable resource. Counseling also can reveal unadvertised benefit resources (food, clothing, shelter, etc).

However, we have recently found that many, many resources have diminished in some areas because members did not seek the counseling before the economic crisis hit a few months ago.

I suggest you follow-up once you take up residence in Maryland.

    Re: The IPIU Welfare Program

I would be more interested in this program and it's details.
I would offer any service I am able to in any capacity I could.
While I am not a Licensed Social worker, I have personal experiences.

I hope the current economy hasn't done damage to this program

    Stephen,

Personally, I believe your desire to be involved speaks volumes in regard to your character.

I don't see the IPIU's welfare program going away for quite some time. I have taken advantage of some of the services and am glad I did. The benefits of my taking advantage of part of the program definitely made some lifelong changes in my family.

I have to say a business that isn't just worried about taking my money, but is interested in the well being of humanity at large... I just don't know what to say about that (it's so rare these days).

Thumbs up Re: The IPIU Welfare Program

I was unaware of these services. I would be interested in them as well.
