    OJ Trial

The local station here is covering it gavel to gavel. The judge is very involved in the questioning. She constantly interrupts the lawyers and witnesses to interject.
I've had to go down near the RJC and it's a real circus. No parking at all. Media everywhere.
I've met this DA David Rogers a few times. He's a decent guy.

    Re: OJ Trial

Is this broadcast on the old Court TV (now Tru TV) channel?

I heard earlier of an interesting twist that I would like to hear more of that OJ attempted to get the FBI involved as a counter sting operation. That's how it was recorded because (as I hear) either OJ or one of the other co-defendant was wearing a wire.

Who knows what the truth is until it all comes out.

Its on court tv but I'm getting the live feed without the commentary.
One of the guys is a real character, he set up the whole deal to coincide with the day a book was coming out, he taped it, he called the FBI and tried to get them involved, he called the media and did interviews the next morning.

Who knows. What a soap opera.
I tell you that OJ is surrounded by some really shady characters.

It's really heating up today. They have the witness Tom Riccio, on that set up the whole deal and taped it with a hidden recorder.

Its looking really good for OJ today so far. The star prosecution witness Tom Riccio is on direct and looks more like a defense witness.
The state chose Chris Owens to examine this witness and he seems really tire and off his game this week.
Riccio is a colorful witness and comes off very likable.

Good for him as he'll get off bad for people like us that don't want our throats slit.
I listened to all the tapes presented in court and I get the drift that Riccio had a deal with the Goldmans to get OJ to autograph a bunch of their books.

ah, so it was a setup from the start. He was going into a situation that he could only lose from if he went through with it but the witnesses are turning on the instagators?

    Re: OJ Trial

    I'm not sure.
It looks like OJ was going along with Riccio but once there at the hotel he turned on Riccio and was threatening him too.
Riccio set up the whole deal but he told OJ that certain things were there in the room, personal stuff but later he knew the stuff was not there but still brought OJ into the room.
It looks like a bunch of drunk confused scammers all got together and got into a mess.

    Oh boy.
This guy Riccio has been turned by the defense into a defense witness and now the DA Chris Owens is trying to impeach his own witness.
OJ should start a business consulting for criminal defense cases. The guy is untouchable!
Chris Owens looks terrible.I ran into him at a supermarket a few years ago and he looks about 20 years older.

    Re: OJ Trial

    Interesting cross examination today.
OJ has a co-defendant, Clarence Stewert, and there doesn't seem to be much of a case against him. He's hardly ever mentioned at all. He has a really great lawyer too. But today his co-counsel is doing the cross and he's making a real mess of things. He's nervous and fumbling and the judge keeps yelling at him. All the state objections are sustained.
