    How to start

Would there be a possibility of joining someone in Bounty Hunting? I dont have much experience and I know a lot is freelance. Is there a company that would hire me so I wouldnt start out on my own?

    Sean,

Let me point you in the right direction. Most of the comments that you have posted would best be suited for your introduction post. Additionally, if you take the time to read the posts and do some "investigating" of your own using the search feature, you will most likely find the same question having been asked and answered. I apologize if this sounds trite, but everyone always has the same questions when starting out, and they have been asked and answered in detail many times. I had very similar questions when I first joined IPIU. But the information is here if you take the time to look for it. Curiosity, self motivation, and determination are all positive traits for an investigator. What better way to hone those sills than right here at IPIU!

This may or may Not be 100% true, as I'm only assuming/guessing here

I believe the specific kit you're refering too, is required for Level 4 access. If this is correct, you will then have access to it once you become a Level 4 member of IPIU.

    Hope this helps.

What if you did it before and want to start back at it, I live in Illinois were it's against the law here, but I live about 5 or 10 minutes from St. Louis, Mo were it's legal. I worked as a bounty hunter when I got out of the military and moved to Memphis, TN, if there's anyone interested in hiring I live in Illinois and have been a member since 2001.

    Quinton,

We still have you listed in Texas. Please make sure to let IPIU know of your move, so we can update your profile. Use the contact us link on the bottom of your screen to contact them.

I edited your city from your post because we don't post those for privacy reasons. Take care and Happy Holidays to you.

    Quinton ,

If you currently reside in Illinois, and are looking for work as a Bounty Hunter, chances are, you won't find work in Illinois as a Bounty Hunter, as Bounty Hunting in ILL is Illegal.

Please make sure you do update your records, as Petra suggested.

Since you live in ILL. Please email IPIU and update your personal file. We have you listed as living in Texas.

You can do so by clicking here : http://www.ipiu.org/forums/sendmessage.php

If you plan on working as a Bounty Hunter in St. Louis.. I would try contacting somebody at the criminal courts office, and see if they could provide you with any assistance on how to become a Bounty Hunter in St. Louis.

    Lori,

I would be happy to give you some solid information, but I need you to seek my 'chat thread' in the level 4 area. Much of my replies are for level 4 members only.

    To find me:
