Arrow Attention to All Members: Are you compliant with your Oath and Code of Ethics?

Almost all of our members are compliant with the Oath and Code of Ethics. Then we of course, have those who are not satisfied with our union, and go and make statements in the internet or on our forum; The content of these posts is generally that "IPIU is a con." I'm posting this to tell all the newbies that if there is a problem with your relationship with the International Private Investigator's Union, the moral thing and the right thing would be to contact legal.affairs@ipiu.org. Discuss the problem with somebody who knows the law. If the IPIU remedy doesn't satisfy you, you do have a couple of organizations with recourse. See IPIU's home page. That page will contain links and names to two organizations that IPIU subscribes to. (The Better Business Bureau is not one of two in this post.) Talk with them. See what they say.

The principle of this is 1. talk with the persons affected. 2. talk with a mediator present about the issue. If those options have been used and there is no satisfaction, Arbitration might be needed. (Ann Marie Ryan--Could you clarify this please. Thanks.)

Another thing to remember: Even though we're all members, we are also GUESTS of IPIU on the forums. Lets make our times with IPIU the best times possible. We'd really hate to have a "bouncer" ask for the offending party to leave until his/her incident is resolved.

thank you for letting me air my peace.

Considering IPIU has served over 80,000 members in the last seventeen (17) years, we have only had a dozen or so who have violated their own Oath and Code of Ethics by posting inflammatory, slanderous, and fraudulent remarks against the union.

For the moment, forget the private investigator is a union member. And then just read the articles of their personal sworn oath and Code of Ethics - that clearly outlines they are not to use, state, or promote anything to anyone about anything not based on facts! That means, there is no place under the sun for a professional to spread or promote gossip.

Now ask yourselves if you would wish to work with or for or be associated with such a clown?

IPIU has no room for clowns and no room for liars who deliberately violate their personal sworn oath and code of ethics, no matter who they are or how "experience" they may be.

If a member finds such a clown or liar in the union, they are to private email legal.affairs@ipiu.org . The are NOT to confront the liar in the midst of others, as the liar will only defend themselves with more rhetoric and insanity.

IPIU remedies include: Private phone mediation or resolution, private email, or other procedures. In the end, if the liar clown refuses to remedy their actions - they will be black listed and banned. All executive private investigative agencies and other firms will be notified that IPIU no longer holds the member in good standing.

Perhaps instead of them responidng in anger, why don't they find out the truth! That is why they all became "investigators".
