I have been a private investigator union member for a while.
A few months ago I spoke to company needing process servers. After a bit of back and forth, the owner ended up hiring me for another project that had just popped into his office -- researching cases for law resource.
In the midst of this project, the owner has had me filing cases in many counties; performing other research in various counties; process serving; performing background checks in various counties....
An entire wealth of opportunities came from one simple contact. In fact, my daughter is working for this company also!
The moral here is that -- yes -- honesty, professionalism and integrity are the keys to success!
One of my biggest fears when I approached this company was that I have performed most of my "work" from home (no pay!) for many, many years. Yet, being straight about all my experience, etc. and walking into his office with confidence (firm handshake, eye contact, etc) opened the doors for my career!
Plus, he was very impressed with my private investigator union photo credentials! ... and this experience has helped me gain a strong, professional rapport with many counties all over northeastern Ohio!
