Just in . . .
Special Mi-24 helicopter is presently flying in Afghanistan, where it is no doubt causing quite a stir as would-be terrorists gaze up.

Debra, I love how you did the visual. I want to learn how to do that. Where do I go to learn?
I love the chopter, too. I so love our fighting men and women and I pray for them daily. They are probably "fighting" over who gets to fly it!! Awesome!

Once you have the smileys downloaded. It's simple.
Copy and paste the html.
If you want it to move across the screen insert the whole html in the marguee setting.

I actually got to see that chopper up close when I was at Ft Polk, LA. That is one of many tools used for the US to train on.
This is the first time I saw that great picture...how cool is that!
Remarkable pictures, wonderful creativity - am wondering where they were taken and who was the genius behind the painting?
I love this the picture looks good and I wonder hw well does it fly in the skys.
As Toby Kieth sings: "And thw Eagle will fly"
Can you imagine how much fun it would be to see that coming after you or at you in the air. lolol HOLY -MOLY! I'll bet it stopped a few hearts. I hope it's still flying. Thank you for this post, Robert, (even if it was over a year ago) I LOVE it!
The eagle helicopter is interesting. It can have a psychological effect on the terrorists, especially if such a helicopter (and others like it) was so often used as to become synonymous with the US military's destruction of terrorists. Its serves us well as a symbol of American Freedom, as well.
An historical footnote: Prior to the Pearl Harbor attacks, American pilots (the "Flying Tigers" of WW2) painted their planes so as to look like a shark's face and teeth. The Japanese pilots were superstitious and were pyschologically weakened when fighting American pilots . Good psychology backed by superior tactics helped the Flying Tigers score record victories over the Japanese planes and hence protected China's airspace (i.e. a target of the Japanese bombing strategy).
Hopefully, this modern eagle helicopter will have good tactics and weaponery to back up its fearsome appearance.
Amazing what a simple paint job can do. However, that's not a U.S. helicopter. See this link:
