Thanks for all the information, it help to answer some of my questions.
This forum answered alot of my questions, thanks to all for your input.
I have been going thru all the forums. Reading, printing, ABSORBING .
I'm really thankful there are so many people wondering and asking the same questions I've had running through my head.
The NOT "being thrown to the dogs" not only made me smile but added reassurance and peace of mind.
Thanks so much to all. Its appreciated by this "newbie"

I love all the learning going on in this forum, Thank you and keep up the good work.
Dear Allen,
Your advice was insightful to the interested party. As a new trainee, it is great to see that the cultivating of potential and newbies is unselfishly fostered.

P.S. I chuckled at the idea that the diploma was excluded as a result of poor spelling (despite one's education); this statement is so true.
Thanks for the great idea! I now have a note book full of print outs on topical information. All I have to do now is organize it with a table of contents. It keeps growing and growing and growing...
I continue to read and read and read. These forums have much needed information. So much to know and so much to remember. Thank you all for contributing.
My hope is to work for several agencies. It feels a little frustrating because I know with on the job training is key. The problem is it has been numerous years since I did investigate child abuse cases and may I say I was considered to be great as a guardian ad-ltem for family and superior court. It has been frustrating because I want back in NOW and I know it does not work that way. I also know that I did not forget all that i did years ago, sometimes I feel like it was yesterday. I do read as many post and forums as possible but I now will set an appointment to do it everyday so I can continue to learn more and more.
Thanks for all the information. It has answered my questions that I have for now. I can't wait to get started.
I can't believe all the information. All you here- Thanks-
From time to time I come back to this thread because it reinforces some ideas I need to enable me to be patient with the lenghty process in a time of advance technology and that on-the-job-training is a major key to successfully becoming a better professional.
Hello, I want to thank everyone for there participation on the IPIU forums. I have found a lot of very useful information that will help me through this process. Just want to thank every one and I look forward to working with every one.
As a newcomer to the world of investigating, it is such a pleasure to hear about success stories. I am looking forward to assignments and reporting back my experience for future IPIU members! Thank, the information is greatly appreciated!

It is always so good to see such positive response, and people are still learning even though they have posted thousands-- I like the Investigative field because I am constantly learning.
I enjoy reading the threads its given me better ideas in getting information. And becoming a successfully professional PI in the future. I really enjoy the IPUI Forums and thank you all for everything.
Hello everyone!
I realy like all the information I get in this forum. I just paid for my membership and already have my credentials, so I guess all I have to do is wait for assignments.
I , like others, have also found the info in this thread to be valuable. However, one thing that stands out for me is HOW I benefitted from it :
One member asked about getting assignments before completion of training and another asked about a "free PI mag". They put their questions in the wrong thread, but it was good that they did so, since those questions had not occurred to me and, not having conceived of them, I would not have had any reason to ask them in the introductory section.
I just happened to be reading this thread and there were the two members' questions, conveniently placed in the wrong thread
Sometimes serendipity brings knowledge .
Thank you very much for all the great information. I look forward to getting my credentials soon and start looking for work.
Thanks for the feedback. Its great to learn that working for more than one agency would be more beneficial than one. Its also exciting to learn that there will be alot of assignments that can be performed and completed at your convenience.
Thanks for all the encouraging info everyone. I am waiting on my manual and exam.
And, of course, I have twenty questions always running through my head.
You guys are awesome at answering them before I even have to ask.
Thanks again,
Matt Calvin
I'm looking forward 2 my first assignment.
Thanks for the valuable guidance and for giving newbies like myself a great opportunity to learn.
I am going to join IPIU in a couple of weeks. I am looking forward to getting assignments and completing them. I would like to get assignments from several different agencies, so i can keep busy. I am very anxious to open my own state licensed agncey here in Texas. Good luck to all and thanks for being here IPIU.
Well I finally got serious about this great chance in life to make a difference and mailed in my completed test!
I look forward to getting my test results so I can advance to level IV and start getting assignments.
I am so happy that I found IPIU! As a newbie, I look forward to learning more about becoming a private investigator! I've wanted this for a very long time!
Good luck to you all.
Judy
Good Luck, Judy!!!!
I'm sure you're going to do well!!!!!!!
I have to agree that this information is very much appreciated.
Thank you to all who have participated in this thread. There is a vast amount of information that is quite helpful!
IPIU is an awesome way to get experience and there are so many opportunities to work with different agencies under the same banner. If you try one area of investigation and find out that it is not a good fit you can change directions and still be racking up experience. As someone who has worked for Licensed Investigators on the outside of IPIU, this is where you want to be.
I encourage everyone who is a free member of IPIU to upgrade and take the plunge. This is a great way to get paid experience and build a network of professionals.
Hi Mark Messare:
I find what I have learned here interesting and helpful. I have a long ways to go though.
God bless you Mark.

Hey Sherri:
No Problem, Glad to have you on the team!!
Mark.
I have to agree. I have learned more from the experience of others than I would have imagined, and a VERY long way to go.
Yes they say that you learn from other peoples mistakes. Truer words were never spoken!
Hello.
I am a newbie, but have an assignment this week. I have completed my test and have signed up for the free magazines. I have also found some new info on the internet and will post the links to the ones most helpful.

I too agree that most of the information posted in these forums are great knowledge. I look forward to reading daily. Thank you.
TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU ON THIS:
"As someone who has worked for Licensed Investigators on the outside of IPIU, this is where you want to be."
I am a newly Licensed Private Investigator, so in my case I have worked for Licensed Agencies on the outside. And now I believe I am agreeing with this:
"I encourage everyone who is a free member of IPIU to upgrade and take the plunge. This is a great way to get paid experience and build a network of professionals."
I cannot wait to get my first paycheck from my agency so I can do just that: get a Union Membership. Thanks for pushing me over the edge and helping me make up my mind. I have wanted to for awhile, but after spending money on equipment, cameras, covert cameras, software, etc I have to be exceptionally sure of where I am investing my money. I am sold.
Thanks for the information!
With good intentions PI work can and will be very Rewarding.
Great info
I love all the learning going on in this forum, Thank you and keep up the good work.
