Are the Pages loading with a Scroll Bar?

Are the Pages loading with a Scroll Bar?

Do you have to scroll right or left to see the entire page?

We suggest you go to your Control Panel on your computer, select Display, and the Settings, and then choose a high screen resolution - as most newer computers have.

Otherwise, with a lower screen resolution you may have the scroll bar.

Yes I have to scroll on every page to read, every single paragraph, I have to scroll almost 1/3 of the screen to read, very annoying.Carl

You forgot to post your screen resolution.

Go to your Windows Control Panel,

    Choose Display

Choose Settings. There you will see what the pixel resolution is for your screen and what bit you have it set at.

We're not asking you to make any change. We're asking you what your screen resolution and bit size is so we can compare notes.

When the software first changed I was at 800 pixals, and I had a scroll bar at the bottom. So, I changed to 1024 pixals, and no longer have a scroll bar at the bottom.

    Thumbs up

Cynthia, my pixel setting is at 800, I dont know if you were still working on the site but it seems to have gotten a little better, I still have to scroll quite a bit to read the advertisements to the right side of screen, but it has always been like that, I believe. I tried Wills idea and changed my settings to 1024, however it made the screen smaller, but just to scale, the scroll bar remained the same, the screen still displayed the same effect, just smaller, It seems to me that some pages are larger than others, I can adjust to it,you know how change is, just takes a little to get used to, Carl.

Here's a similar issue. Maybe related, maybe not.

On occassion, when I switch to another page (any page) there is a vast space of blank space between the top banner and the start of the topic. Typically it is at least a good half of a screen big. It is only applicable to the topic posts, though. The forum banner and the side forum sponsors remain as they should be.

    Another perplexing discovery.

The box which contains the name, post, etc. is appearing in various sizes. Sometimes it is full size as normal, sometimes medium, and sometimes small. It does not change the size of the text or anything. Just the whole box size is reduced.

    The new upgraded software

is great and thank you for all the time and energy put into it!

Is there a way to set the preferences on the upgraded software?
Particularly when moving from page to page to make it so that we go back to the same place on a previous page. Currently when the page refreshes, it starts at the top again.
Just curious if there is anything we could do about that?

Debra, I merged your post, and reply into this thread about our new software. Please, read this topic, and vote, also.

The software should work better now. If you are still having any problems, just ask about them again. I was having some problems, and mine are a lot better now.

Have a wonderful weekend. Take care.

    scroll poll

My mac has scroll bars, both to the right and to the bottom.
    Display settings are 1024x768.
The difficulty for me is that when i refresh a page, it goes to the header at the top of the forum, and I must then scroll down to get to the posts each and every time. This really eats a lot of time.
Whereas when moving from page to page, the previous software went back to the spot where I left off reading, and did not go to the header.
I do believe the new colors are better for our eyes. Less contrast equals less harsh on the eyes.

  16. Scroll bars are alive and working here, 1024X768 Windows XP
