View Full Version : Many Questions!

I have got some questions, as I sit here with time on my hands:

Benefits:

I emailed IPIU regarding health benefits twice. I finally got a response (of the automated variety), that basically said "We got your email, we'll get back to you soon." Why doesn't IPIU issue an email (of a more descriptive nature) describing the benefits that are currently being reviewed to offer IPIU members, so we have an idea of what to expect when the day comes that health benefits are something we can partake in?

Mailing Options:

I have sent back my signed COE and full payment of membership dues to IPIU. I would be MORE than happy to pay for FedEx overnight shipping and handling charges.

1. Why does IPIU offer "super-mega express" application processing (same day confirmation of your potential job placement)...but NOT for mailing other forms/training manuals/tests?

The Test:
Ok. We're all "high-tech" here, right? Right. Why doesn't IPIU put the "test" online, in some form where we can either A.) Print it, fill it out, mail/fax it. Or, B.) Complete the test online and click "SUBMIT."

It's not a complicated procedure to create an online form for printing or online submission, and would perhaps expedite the testing process.

WAIT!!!!! Brilliant Idea #2! (I just thought of this as I type.)

Create the MANUAL itself, as a PDF file. Once you get your COE on file, you get access to the "Secret Testing/Training Forum." From there, you can print out the PDF of the Manual, and put it in your own 3-ring binder. Not only would this SAVE IPIU/Members a bunch of money, but it would knock off WEEKS of waiting for a printed manual to be sent to your house.

If you send me the "Manual" file with any artwork associated with it, I can crank out a PDF and have it emailed back to you in less than 30 minutes.

Surveillance, Books, Etc.:

Can someone who is "in-the-know" about PI work and it's associated technology please post some valid resources and information relative to the forum heading?

I'm not trying to be rude. I am trying to see why this organization isn't more "up-to-speed" technologically speaking.

Any comments/questions are encouraged and welcome.

Thanks!

Wow Thom, you hit the nail on the head. I've wondered about these very same things...

Then I suspect you couldn't see the multiple infractions of our Forum Rules, your signed Code of Ethics, and IPIU's Mission Statement. For these reasons, I have edited out selected portions of your topic. For other reasons, you are requested to privately email Agent Relations at usa@ipiu.org after next Tuesday (their email is down until then).

In the meantime, do not call their office as your comments must be in writing, as will be their response.
