I think I need a private lesson or something! I"m having problems...

Every time I try and reply to a message, now I keep getting the following message:

The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please try the following:

Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

To check your connection settings, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Connections tab, click Settings. The settings should match those provided by your local area network (LAN) administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
If your Network Administrator has enabled it, Microsoft Windows can examine your network and automatically discover network connection settings.
If you would like Windows to try and discover them,
click Detect Network Settings
Some sites require 128-bit connection security. Click the Help menu and then click About Internet Explorer to determine what strength security you have installed.
If you are trying to reach a secure site, make sure your Security settings can support it. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section and check settings for SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, PCT 1.0.
Click the Back button to try another link.

Are you using Explorer or Netscape as a Browser?

What "version" of the browser do you have? (The version is listed in the "Help" button at the top of the window)

Are you using AOL as an internet provider?

Are you using a dial-up internet connection through a phone line?

I am writing from work and I am using Explorer 6.0. I am on a network server, so I really do not know the provider. The problems I described were from work.

I do have AOL at home though, but am going to change that soon. I have dial-up at home and am considering switching to AT&T Broadband cable. We do not have DSL in our area yet.

Your work may have a firewall in place which would cause problems related to cookies. Cookies are used to retain your password when going from page to page.

In Explorer, do the followning:

1) On the top tool bar, click on TOOLS

2) Choose INTERNET OPTIONS

3) Choose the tab titled PRIVACY

4) Click on the buton titled DEFAULT
(Or, the DEFAULT button may already be greyed out)

5) Click on APPLY

6) Click OK

------------
Try that to see if it clears up. If not, post another Reply for Plan B. :)
