I subscribed to the free fax-to-e-mail.
I have not been able to use it even though I have downloaded the software. :(
I have written 3-4 messages requesting help... no reply. I have called the toll free support number..their automated message said that the "free fax" service only gets online support. After I sent them another unanswered e-mail requesting help, they sent me a survey to rate their service. Still I have no reply.
If there is anyone on this board who can tell me how to use this service I would appreciate it. :)
Thank You,
Ernest Cann member IPIU

Because you are a member of IPIU, you have a live support
line you can call.
Simply email freefax@ipiu.org and request the telephone
number of the live support technician to contact. :)
Thanks for asking,
David

Wow, do I have a problem!
I signed up for the Free Fax and Voice Mail service today, and set it up to use my Yahoo e-mail account. In the set-up process, the new service required e-mail software that could open the documents. As an MSN Internet Explorer customer, Outlook Express is my default e-mail software. I went to Yahoo and subscribed to Yahoo!Delivers to access the POP3 info, which I then used to add Yahoo Mail service to Outlook Express.
The problem is, last week, MSN updated their e-mail service to a more secure mode, which Yahoo (as far as I know) doesn't have. So, now that I've added Yahoo to Outlook Express, I can't receive or send e-mail anymore. This seems to effect my MSN e-mail account also.
What should I do about this? I usually have trouble with getting specific help from Yahoo's "Technical Support" folks.
Has anyone else had this kind of problem, and what did you do about it?
Thanks!

The free e-mail you often hear reference to is Yahoo! e-mail. Yahoo! is one of many companies that offer free e-mail, but in the experience of IPIU and other members, Yahoo! has been most stable.
The free fax line is also available from a couple different providers. Please continue to browse this forum to find threads which will provide the information you need (sometimes you have to dig for the golden nuggets! :) ).
