Everyone,

First, I have been researching the private investigation field for several months now. My motivation? A carrier change. I have been in the IS/IT industry for over twenty years and am ready for a change. I must have hit a couple of hundred different web sites concerning PI training and I have to say, this is the first one that really "feels" legitimate. I have gained more useful, reasonable, information here than in all the other sites put together. I want to thank everyone who contributes to this forum so very much. I feel like I've finally found a place where I can begin my transition into this field.

Dittos on that on Rick, I have been the IS/IT industry. I have also looked on the internet for PI ops. I looked in magazines that had PI training at home. But I figured it would be like the Locksmithing course I took through home study course. I got the sheepskin that says I am a Locksmith. And I know somethings about locks. However I did not know where to go from there. When I come across this forum, and the opportunity to learn hands on, I knew this was for me.

I completely understand the frustration in your letter about finding a site that seems "legit".

More than that, is the commonality I have with you regarding changing fields and trying to "break" into the industry.

I have been working on getting into this field for seven years now and today I just found out I am getting sponsored for my "CC" license with a very reputable firm.

After seven years of hard work and constant networking, it has finally happened. I now have two years to work on before I get my true C-license.

Keep plugging away, I know if my efforts took seven years, yours should be a lot less, I am sure of it!

I must agree, this is a great website. everyone here has been great, and I have had some great experences, and have learned a lot!
