8. Bail Enforcement Agents (http://dsp.delaware.gov/SBIinfo.shtml#1) NOT Bail Bondsmen
The process for licensure for Bail Enforcement Agents:
Must have classroom training BEFORE being licensed. Sign-up for the training by contacting Del Tech Stanton Campus at 302-453-3705.
Appointments to appear at the Detective Licensing Section for licensure are made at the training class. Classes are held in June and December of each year.
Criteria for licensure:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must not have been convicted of any Felony: and/or must not have been convicted of any two of the following misdemeanors within the last seven years: theft, drug offenses, offensive touching or assault III.
Must not have been convicted of any charge that bears a relationship to the performance of the bail enforcement agent.
Must meet and maintain the qualifications set forth in the Rules & Regulations.
