I've used both of mine and they work great. The only problem I had is that they came in grey not black and I used black permanent marker on the top 1" because the camera lens was too noticeable and one of the time stamps has 2010 for the year not 2009. I need to know how to change the years.

I have written with my spy pen (http://www.privateinvestigators.cc/product_info.php?products_id=1611) while perform an eviction.

I needed video confirmation of the people involved, it was hot out, I was in short's and placing it in my "t" shirt made it difficult to "hide" the pen, but no one noticed the way I handled my pen while talking to them and writing with the pen. I guess they thought I was from Quebec.

Other times I use the spy pen (http://www.privateinvestigators.cc/product_info.php?products_id=1611) beside one or two other real pens in my pocket, again no one notices.

The trick is keeping there focus on you not on what you have or are doing. I think to write or not to write is dependent on the situation at hand. I always try playing with different techniques, some work others don't.
