We received this email from a forum member:

How do I stop my information from coming up after I have loged off computers at the library or friend computer, for some reason my information keeps coming on?

I don't want to be in trouble for someone else reading these private forums.

Answer:

Just return to the main menu at:
http://www.ipiu.org/forums/

Then go to the bottom of the page and click
on LOG OUT.

That clears the password and the cookies.

That is a great idea. I never thought to do that. I mostly use my own computer, but sometimes I use other computers. I will keep that in mind.

Yes, not only library computers - but every computer that is not yours.

As is my usural way, I learn things the hard way. At the library last week, I logged into this forum, did my reading and closed the enternet connection. Today I went back to the library and got on the ipiu forum and was already logged in. Well, I thought about it a while and realized I had to log out of the forum. When I did log out it told me that the cookies and password was deleted. Then I tested it and found that I had to log back in.

Thought I would let everyone know about this, only to find it had been addressed already.:) So yes, when using computers other than your own, logout of the forum.;)

Using the back bottom, return to the front page. When you
there, bring with the mouse the same page always down
and you will see the log out sign. Click it and you out.

George,

I moved and merged your question to the Technical Support forum where we already have a topic started for this question. :)

Read the very first post from Admin and you'll find the answer you were looking for. ;)

Thank you Kandy.

This is just a suggestion but I think there be a "Logout" button or link on every page. I know it would not be hard to do.
