A short application comes up on the screen.

Here's what I did as a sample:

They started by looking at my phone bill:

Area Code: I entered a USA area code.

Prefix: I entered the first 3 numbers of a phone prefix.

I Clicked "GO"

Here's what I got:

Dial One Service from your Home Phone: 4 1/2 cents a minute!

(No funny access numbers to dial)

(No monthly fee PLUS 100 free minutes)
<hr>
From there I click on the tool bar button titled UTILITIES

I chose Electric (although they also has Gas too)

They asked me to choose what local electric company I have.

At some point they offered to LOWER the following local bills:

LOCAL INTERNET ACCESS

RENTERS INSURANCE

HOME INSURANCE

CREDIT CARD FEES

WIRELESS (CELL PHN, ETC)

AUTO LOAN PAYMENTS

HOME LOANS

PERSONAL DEBT TO PAY OFF!

This is a GREAT free service that is customized for your home.

Try it and post any Replies to this topic of your savings!

I apologize if I am asking this question in the wrong area but, I am wondering about my DSL connection to the PC which is through the local phone company. Do they offer any type of service for your computer connection too? I have tried to contact LowerMyBills.com for answers to this question but, I have not received a response in weeks. Any help for me Admin.?

Aloha Sean,

If you clicked on the link "internet" on website that would take you to the internet link. You will then have to fill out the airecode & prefex section and also if you want dialup or High speed.
They have a featured plan for @29.99 a month for DSL Access and having the activation fee waived which would includes equipment and a annual commitment.

I hope this answered your question.

Aloha,

Thank you, Ed,

Appreciate you getting back to me on this. I saw that link but I just some questions for them, which I have not received a response. I guess I should just follow through on all this and then, if I am not happy or I am still concerned, then I can back out and decline their service. I am always skeptical about filling out information on-line and passing it along, even though I first heard of this chance to save through, I.P.I.U. I would think I can trust them ! LOL.

Thank you again.

Sean,

Lowermybills.com is pretty good site. I've used their services for quite some time :) which would include the auto insurance... cellphone service... and many more I used. Saves me money. Like you said you could always backout :) nothing to hurt to just trying. I've been online for more then 10+ years and I have shop online, trade online and pay bills online ahhaha I'm a online person its like I live online.. Addict I say.. ahhaha :) but I love it it's something for me to do and it is better then going out and doing other things bad ;).

Well good luck and I hope to see you around more in the forum.

Aloha,

i went to that site and could only find savings for my home phone, i did not find anything on utilities(gas or electric) is that only in some areas or am i looking in the wrong place for that? Is there place that i can go to that i can get savings on my electric and gas bills, and i seen on other forums that i can save on gas for my car too is that true? and if it is where do i go to get this savings?

Cynthia Ford

It appears the utility option is not there. Instead, they have added other savings tabs.

The gasoline savings are mentioned in the private IPIU member forums where the income tax deductions are applied against the price at the fuel pump.

so how do i get the gasoline price down? is that as a tax deduction on my taxes or is it as a gas card or whatever?

As Ms. Ford mentioned, the IPIU Member Benefits and discussions are posted in the private forums titled CONFIDENTIAL Discussion Forum - Links & Tips (http://www.ipiu.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?forumid=40)

I also noticed you are at Level 4 and have only posted 2 comments.

Please read the following Level 4 topic for instructions.

Hello to All! I'm brand new to the site and the industry but really appreciate all the information and tips shared between the members. There's so much to read and learn, I began printing out pages and pages of items with plans to make a binder of sorts (I'm in to indexed binders as reference tools) for me to read and study offline. That process grew old quite fast because, of course, I was also printing ALL the related quotes as well. Can you tell that I'm archaic - one that was only interested in learning just enough technology to complete whatever task I was working on at the time. I just didnt have time to REALLY learn an application. Well, I've been laid off now so, I'm using the time to fill in the gaps. I dont have level 4 access yet but can't wait!

I have a GREAT DEAL to learn in order to catch up with the computer literate. All the tips here are exceptional. This one is essential. Who isn't looking to control normal operating and/or household costs. I haven't tried the lower your costs website yet but it's my next stop! It's great to learn these things up front and avoid unnecessary pitfalls. So I just wanted to say, GREAT TIP...THANK YOU...and keep them coming!:D

P.S. Oh yes. I neglected to mention how I resolved my excess printing, ribbons and paper costs by volume printing. I now copy and paste select quotes to MS Word according to subject under IPIU Training Folder! Then I can batch print specific subject matter whenever I want! This will certainly keep me busy while I complete initial processing.

I'm sure this is OLD HAT for most. But for me, it's a spark of genius!..Okay, maybe a bit strong. How about a sign of increased brain cells.

Ridiculous is right. It's not quite that high here yet, but getting there. Anyone other than me remember the Texas gas wars? I can remember passing up stations with gas for 23 cents or 24 cents a gallon, looking for one that was 21 cents a gallon.

I'm going to check out the electric utility at this site. My electric bill is outrageous.

Brenda,

Sad to say but YES, I do remember the GAS WARS :(

I visited the western side of our lovely state not too long ago and was surprised at the $$$$ difference in gas. As I cruised on I-70, gas prices differed by a minimum of 12 cents. What a game the fuel companies are playing.

Ed,

I worked with a guy who lives in HI, and we talk weekly. I am ALWAYS surprised at the cost of gas and food.

Prices here last night were $1.64 reg/$1.89 premium. May be that is one of the benefits of living in a land locked state. ;)

Wanna Trade?
