Where to obtain the best info on the laws in Mo.

I have been reading all over the internet and law books. I am looking for some guidelines of the laws for investigators in Missouri. I can't find anything. There are laws for law enforcement but nothing as far as ststues or anything. I want those to study now so I will be sure and know exactly what I can and can not do. I work for the sheriffs dept and civil process servers are only people who have passed the post test. Does any one know a good resource? Every one I ask says its a "grey area" but no one knows where to find the actual laws or statues.
