I am wondering why the threads are not archived at some point? or have they been?
I understand that there is a lot of good information in the old postings but sooner or later it will become overwhelmed. As I was checking out all the forums I noticed that some weren't real informative and really old (like from year 1996).
In the system that I have experience with called Blackboard the instructors would archive either at the end of a week/month or when the threads were just so long. We were able to search through the archives at any time as we were also able to keep up with daily conversation more easily. Seems as if the technology is here with this sytem. Perhaps I am missing something or just haven't found it yet.
Thanks for any input.
