Tech Support, Moderators, Admin,
[Edited by author.]
I was off the forums for a few months and when I came back, my comment count had decreased.
I was off the forum for a few days this month and when I came back, my comment count was down.
I was off the forum for a few hours today and when I came back, my comment count was down.
I reached the comment count level for Senior Distinguished Member and that title was displayed for a few days. I had to add 500 more comments before the title came back.
Have I offended someone at IPIU HQ? If so, let me know who and how. I meant no offense to anyone, but I will apologize for any perceived offense.

Hi, Michael!
I'm not sure what happened to your post count. I'll alert Technical of the problem. :)

Deborah,
Thank you.
I could not jump to this forum from my email. My password would not let me in.
I had to enter the IPIU forums and work my way down the chain of forums.

Deborah,
Your comment count is just a little bit higher than mine, but you do not have the Senior in your title.

That is correct.
Technical Support did their periodic forum maintenance on more than 140,000 comments in over 100 forums. This included their pruning duplicate comments and clean ups of specific training topics that may have contained chit-chats among members.
If you recall, some of the moderators and administrators had posted suggestions to you and many others to carry on miscellaneous chit-chats in designated topics or forums away from the established training topics. Then after a few weeks those previous edited comments were then deleted or archived, which can result in a lowering of the post counts.

Without seeing what you saw, I cannot comment on it. But understand too that we will be adjusting the count levels as the forums grow in numbers.
I can say this . . . when the maintenance is performed (which takes a half day) it revises all of the previous comment totals based on all unarchived topics. It also revises the User Titles to the current titles. You will notice we have a new title of "Associate Forum Member", whereas before it was titled "Associate Member". In order for all of the older members to have their "Associate Member" title upgraded to the new title, Techincal had to perform a maintenance.

But please do not take any ill feelings about a drop in your post counts. It was not personal. With over 20,000 forum members, there were several who dropped.
For the future, may I suggest you just forget about the post counts and titles. Many of us just participate and let the software do what it does. :)

Moderators will always have a different set of User Titles showing, that is not matched with the regular members. Technical Suport decided long ago to delete the use of a second "Sr." in the title of a Sr. Moderator.
Otherwise, you would have:
Deborah Woehr
Sr. Moderator
Sr. Distinguished
Member
Private Investigators
Forum
(Too many Sr's for one gal) ;)

My little 191 post count does look measley. :(
Then again, this job keeps me busy more off the forums than on. :D

I feel that these last comments were meant as an insult.
Some of us do have feelings.
