I'm new at this, can anyone tell me about the laws and jobs that are in New Jersey. My gold is to be a detective, how can I achieve that?

I'm also from New Jersey. As you are probably already aware, New Jersey is a very political state as are most. The best thing to do would be to look up state laws and statutues. In New Jersey in order to become a detective you need to be in law enforcement for at least 5 years. However, you can work around this by working for an agency. Hope this helps.
