Did an Agency or Employer refer you to IPIU?
With over 40,000 members and member agencies worldwide (including over 20,000 forum members here at the Private Investigators Forum), many employers who are agency-members of IPIU receive additional free company benefits for their office employees and new applicants.

Union membership is not required to apply for employment with any firm who has referred you to us. We also provide a free Level 1 forum membership, which will give you access to over twenty private discussion forums.

If you were referred to IPIU because you are not an experienced private investigator, then we can help you obtain free licensing information for your area, plus provide you with the exemptions that will allow you to perform private investigations without a state license. We can also provide you a free waiver form (based on qualified current employment) that most employers will accept in lieu of a PI License.

Guests who are referred to IPIU can also learn how to apply to any agency regardless of their experience or background.

No fee is required to join the Private Investigators Forum Level 1 area where you can meet other private investigators, attorneys, professionals, and law enforcement members.

If you were referred to IPIU by a friend or an employer, you will find there is no better place to be on the world-wide internet!

What is The International Private Investigators Union?
The International Private Investigators Union (IPIU), is a non-labor professional trade organization of private investigators, attorneys, and case examiners. What do we offer you as a Referred Guest?
If you have a Driver's License to prove you are an adult, then you can apply online for a free passcode and User Name to access over twenty Level 1 interactive discussion areas in the Private Investigator Forums.

Do I need a PI License to work as a Trainee?
Not necessarily, depending on what type of assignments you will be conducting. Even the heavily regulated states have many exemptions that allow you to work as a private investigator without a state license. You should also read our Mission Statement & Code of Ethics when your free registration has been approved.

What do others say about IPIU?
Our public Unsolicited Testimonial Forum is open to all Guests in the Private Investigator Forums.

Real people, using their real names, and actual locations posting their own unsolicited testimonials are what counts. We pay more attention to what our own 40,000+ members say about IPIU than what anyone else has to say. After all, union members have agreed to our strict Code of Ethics and have lived the journey for newcomers to follow.
